Don't worry copywriters, chatgpt isn't taking over the world just yet

I asked ChatGPT to write me 3 paragraphs with a chatty tone of voice about why ChatGPT won’t put copywriters out of a job, and here’s what it said, unedited by me:

✨✨✨✨

As a large language model trained by OpenAI, I can assure you that ChatGPT won’t be putting copywriters out of a job anytime soon. While I am capable of generating human-like text, I am not capable of the same level of creativity and critical thinking that a human copywriter possesses.

Copywriting is a highly skilled profession that requires not only a mastery of language, but also an understanding of marketing, branding, and consumer psychology. A good copywriter is able to use their skills to craft compelling messages that engage and persuade their audience. ChatGPT, on the other hand, is simply a tool that can assist with generating text based on the inputs it receives.

Furthermore, even if ChatGPT were able to generate text at the same level as a human copywriter, the role of the copywriter would still be essential in the creative process. Copywriters play a crucial role in the development of marketing and advertising campaigns, and they are often involved in the early stages of brainstorming and concept development. In short, ChatGPT may be able to assist with generating text, but it won’t be replacing human copywriters anytime soon.

✨✨✨✨

Every copywriter reading this knows why I couldn’t end this post (much as I really, really wanted to for the LOLs) with ‘Couldn’t have said it better myself’…
