I’ve started a podcast. It’s called SEO Fucking What?, and I’m absolutely furious.
Every other week, some LinkedIn guru pops up announcing that SEO is dead. Finished. Over. And in the very same post, they’re flogging a course on GEO or AEO or whatever acronym they’ve invented this month. Same shit, different branding, premium price tag.
The first episode of SEO Fucking What? talks about exactly what’s happening here and why you shouldn’t fall for it.

What I’m calling out
These aren’t just the fly-by-night tossers who discovered SEO last Tuesday. I’m talking about people who’ve made their entire living from SEO. People who’ve built businesses on it, spoken at conferences about it. They KNOW SEO isn’t dead, but they’re throwing it under the bus anyway.
Why? Because they’ve spotted an opportunity to scare you into buying their next course.
In the episode, I explain exactly how this panic merchant playbook works and why it’s designed to make you feel like you’re behind.

The question nobody’s asking
Here’s what gets to me. Everyone’s obsessing over whether AI search is taking over, whether you need to learn GEO, whether SEO is finished. But there’s one question that actually matters, and almost nobody’s asking it.
I reveal what that question is in the podcast, and more importantly, how to answer it for your specific business. Because the answer will tell you everything you need to know about where to focus your time and money.

What the data shows
There’s some fascinating research that’s come out recently about AI search traffic. The numbers tell a very different story to what the LinkedIn echo chamber would have you believe. I break down what these numbers mean for small businesses and why you shouldn’t panic based on hot takes from people with something to sell.
The bit that made me properly angry
Look, I swear a lot in this podcast. Fair warning. But there’s one specific thing about this whole situation that made me absolutely rage, and it’s not what you’d expect.
It’s about who’s perpetuating this panic and what they’re sacrificing to make a quick profit. You’ll need to listen to find out what tipped me over the edge.

What you should do instead
The episode doesn’t just rant about the problem. I give you a specific four-step process for figuring out what you should focus on without getting swept up in the panic. It starts with something most business owners aren’t doing, and it has nothing to do with following LinkedIn gurus.
Listen if you’re sick of the bullshit
SEO Fucking What? is for people who are tired of corporate waffle and panic-inducing hot takes. If you want someone to tell you the truth about what’s happening in SEO without trying to sell you a course, this is it.
Episode one is out now on Spotify, Apple, and wherever else you get your podcasts. New episodes drop every Sunday.

| Special thanks to the fantastic Neal Veglio of podcasting production and marketing company Podknows. From running with my idea, to bigging me up at every opportunity, he’s been fab, and he managed to make me sound so professional, even my mum said “Is that really you?” (then she clipped me round the ear “for swearing” and reminded me of when she washed my mouth out with washing up liquid when I was younger. Those were the days…) |
