Don’t feel guilty if you delete this – January inbox overwhelm can suck it!
Your inbox probably looks like a self-help bookshop exploded in it right now. Every business guru and their dog is flooding you with “new year, new you” promises, while half of them are probably still nursing their New Year’s hangover as their automated emails tell you how to “crush it” in 2025.
Take a deep breath. You don’t need to read them all (not even this one). You definitely don’t need to implement every “essential strategy” they’re flogging.
I know SEO might not be top of your “sort this out NOW” list – you’re probably more focused on getting your invoices out and remembering your passwords after the holiday break. But if you are thinking about getting your website working harder this year, I’ve got a few genuinely helpful tips that won’t add to your January stress levels.
And when you’re ready, you know where I am.
SEO Still Isn’t Dead, But It Is Changing
SEO is changing quite a lot at the moment, which is both exciting and terrifying, as most good things are, right? (Right?!?). I’ve broken down what’s actually going to matter in 2025 – and what you can safely ignore. Read the full breakdown here.
LinkedIn Shouldn’t Be A Full Time Job
Everyone else seems to be smashing it on LinkedIn while you’re wondering how they have the time? They probably don’t. Here’s my guide to appearing “everywhere” on LinkedIn without it becoming a full-time job.
Bombarded With Confusing SEO Advice And Not Sure What’s Actually True?
You know the ones – “you MUST blog every week” or “AI will kill your rankings” or my personal favourite, “you need separate content versions for AI search“. I’ve got a brutally honest guide coming out that takes every bit of SEO nonsense you’ve heard and either debunks it or explains what actually matters. No jargon, no fluff, just straight-talking answers about what really works in 2025. Pre-order for a fiver and find out which ‘experts’ are talking rubbish.
BONUS TIP: Other SEOs hate me for giving this stuff away for free, but here’s the thing – if your homepage SEO/meta title is just your business name, you’re wasting prime SEO real estate. Here’s how to fix it in five minutes and actually get found by people who need your services.
Remember: You don’t need to do everything. You definitely don’t need to do it all today. Pick one thing that’ll make the biggest difference to your business and start there.
The rest of those “essential” emails can wait until you’ve had another coffee.
Always non-wanky

P.S. Seriously though, fix that homepage title. It’s the easiest win you’ll get all year.
